I just wanted to tell about my TERRIBLE experience with Arbonne. When people say that they were tricked into joining, I know just what they mean.

Its a great idea on paper, but when you start actually doing any work it becomes just that work. I was "tricked" into placing a "start order". This consisted of buying tools to show others all of the great products Arbonne has. Believe it or not, its much more effective when people can look at and hold the items than just looking at pictures in a catalog. Or at least thats what I was told.

I cant believe that I had to pay for this out of my own pocket. When you start a business I never thought you would have to take on any risk or use your own money! I thought that you started businesses out of thin air! WOW!

Why wouldn't the people in my upline just give me the money for my start order? They are making a lot of money already. Why cant I immediately do as well as them the second that I declare that I am starting my own business? Just because they have done it for months or years longer than me dosent mean they should be more successful does it?

You mean to tell me that you have to try and work hard when you launch your own business? Get real! I spent $1400 dollars of my hard earned money on the tools to get me started. Shouldnt these tools do all of the work for me? Make the calls to people, book parties, follow up, invite people to events, ect... They just sit there in the corner looking nice.

This is the second time this sort of thing has happened to our family this year. My husband was starting a landscaping business so he bought a truck and a skidloader. Almost $25k worth of tools. Neither the truck nor the skidloader made a single call to get new clients and do any of the actual work. They didnt even place any adds for him on Craigslist. Then come to find out you have to put gas in these two things and buy insurance to operate them. Boy, were we both furious at the salesman who sold us these two items.

The problem with Arbonne is that you have to put in some time and effort in the beginning for less money than the people that trained you and signed you up. It takes months or years to make as much as they do. And everyone knows that when you start a business you should automatically make as much or more than people that have been doing it for years.

A lady at our church drives the white Mercedes and makes extremely good money. Why didn't I make the same amount as her the second month I started doing Arbonne?

A girl at work that does Arbonne gets to go to Puerto Rico in a few weeks for free, courtesy of Arbonne. Why don't I immediately get to go just for signing up? This is total BS. You mean you have to earn the incentive trips? No Thank You.

This is not a get rich scheme, it turns out it is a legitimate business where the smartest and hardest working people make really good money if they work consistently at it. Mind you, it dosent mean tons of hours or quitting your full time job. You can get going and make great money alongside your current career.

It also turns out that if you are a manipulative weirdo with few friends, and you have a bad personality, these things will also keep you from succeeding.

UGGH! Thanks for listing to me vent about this crazy opportunity.

Monetary Loss: $1400.

haha...you mean you don't want to put in any work,... just want to spend the $1,400 have it work for you on auto-pilot?

Wow!

But arbonne consultants aren't running their own business. They are buying products that have already been marked up and trying to mark them up more to make a profit on a slim margin.

If they were starting their own business they would be buying these products from the manufacturer directly, at wholesale or at cost, and applying their own label.

If arbonne had faith in its products and salespeople they would indeed front them the product and take the risk themselves - just as you suggest a consultant should do - and thus justify making more money than the consultants do. You know, like legitimate businesses do that make money off their products instead of fooling people into buying something with false promises of making money.

You are clearly one of the lazy ones that quit. This site is full of them.

If arbonne was a reputable company they would just give the products to the consultants for them to sell? What business on earth functions like this? How ignorant.

Work is supposed to be easy, right? Good post!

I can't believe you are serious about thinking that you shouldn't have to work to make money - you think whoever signed you up should have done all the work for you?

Actually, your comment sounds more like a tongue-in-cheek joke. No one is that naive.

If you are serious, you need to get some help. SERIOUSLY.

That was an AWESOME post, and I'm not an Arbonne consultant or user. That was called a Gut Check, folks!!

Guest

Seriously, does no one in this forum get good old sarcasm? Lol

Sounds like you want it handed on a plate - any business you should give five years to anyway. Your never going to make money instantly in any new start up.

and had you ever thought the cost you spent on amazing products that sell themselves is a really low start up cost for any business that will become a willable asset for future lifestyle???

Your products were never going to pick up the phone for you - who are you trying to kid? as a business builder you ashould have been prepared to put some work it to reap the rewards rather than expect it and compare to others who have been in it a while - everyone journey & EFFORT is different!!

As for thinking why you had to spend in first place - we dont live in a money for nothing society - get real honestly - far too many people who have this 'I expect & deserve Attitude'

You are probably one of the biggest idiots on the planet. When people want to start up their own business, you need to put your own money into it.

What do you think your up-line did?

Any business requires work. You're just lazy and pathetic.

Anonymous. Can't we all just get along in this world :)

Hah, this is awesome - made my day. I joined in Dec, promoted to DM Feb 1, and am well on my way to AM.

Yes, I WORK at it!

Along side my other full time business! :)

Lol. Why do you people brag about getting to DM in a couple months???

Everyone is able to do that.

Drives me nuts!!!

I'm super white trash and I always will be. Arbonne is fake and they will try to trick you.

Believe me! I used to do it and I made a lot of money at it. Now I just sit around in my trailer watching Maury, judge Judy, jerry Springer, then jeopardy.

From time to time I take breaks from my programs to try to save people I have never, nor will ever meet, from trying anything new.

Arbonne has been around for over twenty years solely by tricking people. And just by luck they have one of the only certified vegan health and wellness line on the planet.

Hey you from Colorado,

You are so strange. Go bury your head back in the sand.

I do believe that you are white trash and I also think you are the anus lover because so many of these posts say fake.

Get off this blog and go find a real job. You are such an ***!!!

What is it, you don't understand English??? Arbonne is NOT pure, safe or beneficial.

They are Vegan but so what, they are not healthy products. Just because they are Vegan doesn't mean that they don't contain chemical!!!

What is wrong with you? Pretty dumb if you ask me!

Take a hike.

Guest

Don't join Arbonne.

Take it from someone who worked fairly high up in the food chain.

It is not;

Safe

Pure

Beneficial. In fact the leading QA University trained Scientists have been heard quite clearly laughing at the fact that it isn't Pure, safe and Beneficial at all.

It is a total rip off. Most products supplied in country including the RE9 line cost the business around $4 to $12 (Not including kits, if you put 5 products toegether the price would be roughly $25 to $45 dollars) If you consider most of the RE9 line cost around $65 retail, you now might understand how your upline earns the cash he/she will be generating and how your upline is getting all the free trips. YOUR PAYING FOR THEM. There has been internal harrasment claims from people who had a conscience and most of the "Good" people get quietly whisked away after some time.

Yes, I was one of those people who had a conscience and didn't follow the company protocol of ripping decent hard working people off. If you read this and still think you're going to go away and make millions, think again. Most of the VPs in the business I knew employed staff to keep there small business going. Most of those people also had a system of selling and were strict about their downlines following suit, so they kept earning the cheques that really went to their empoyees they needed to help run their businesses.

Venture at your own risk. My advice if you want to start your own business is toget out there and try something yourself, with your own ideas.

Even though running your own business is tough, it is definately easier than some of these people at Arbonne have it, you'll probably make more money and you get to pick where your trips will be, not the company who also get corporate kick backs from the deals they make, when organizing something impressive for their merchants. Good luck if you snub your nose at this post.

University trained students could be heard laughing?

From someone who worked way up the food chain?

These fake posts are getting desperate.

What do you sell? Scentsy?

Sex toys? Weight loss shakes? Those jeans with all of the rhinestones on them? Anyone with just a portion of a brain can tell you arent just an ex vp, who became jaded due to the shady business practices of others combined with unsafe products.

Yes. There is a large markup in cosmetics and supplements. Most people know this.

Someone "high up in the food chain" should be smart enough not to compose a page long single spaced critique in one giant paragraph. Its very tough to read.

Maybe its body by vi you sell? Good luck.

I had all the luck in the world, I got out.

Ex VP you say....Try corporate, someone who knew what was going on...

If you're still involved, your the one who needs all the luck. As for your grammatical pickup, who cares about a post, its not a thesis.

If you continue with this business, all the best, it will rip you off at some point except for the top 5%. I've seen it happen time after time.

I'm glad that you are telling people to stay away from arbonne because it is a joke of a business.

So sick of the same BS Defensive Arguments being used pretty much word-for-word by every *** "multi-level-marketing" scheme out there. If someone questions you...GO ON THE OFFENSE!!!

Jump down their throats and call them lazy and unmotivated. And so forth.

I own my own contracting business. Yes, there was an initial outlay of money to get it going, in the form of buying heavy equipment, renting and office, buying office supplies, and so forth.

The big difference here? I offer a service that people want and need.

That's how I make my money. I don't make it by talking ten other people into buying a bulldozer from me at an inflated price to start their business, with the idea of skimming a tiny percentage off of their paychecks, when the only way THEY can make a living is buy each of them talking ten more people each into buying a bulldozer from them at an inflated price and supposedly paying "upline" a tiny percentage to their person, who will then give me an even more miniscule amount. And so forth until the pyramid collapses, the company folds, and then in a year or two comes up with some other fabulous multi-level-marketing scheme. Do some research.

Just about every founder of whatever the current scheme is (right now Doterra comes to mind, sheesh, if I see one more testimonial on facebook about how herbal oils cured my insomnia/cancer/digestive illness/rheumatoid arthritis/depression I'm going to slit my wrists)- if you do some research you will likely find this isn't his or her first time at the trough and they will likely have a number of previous schemes in their histories.

Avon, Fuller Brush, and even the hated Amway all worked back in the day because they brought needed things to people in isolated and rural communities.

They had a product to sell. They weren't simply in the business of getting a zillion more people to sign up to allegedly sell over-priced, marginal products that you could get the equivalent of for half as much at your local grocery store, drugstore, Costco, or Target.

Most of the arbonne products are competitively priced. The consultants pay the same price to start their business as a consumer pays for the goods.

I don't understand why you are saying you get your friends to pay an inflated price to start.

The business grows by selling products to people and signing up consultants to start their own business.

People want to own their own business and this is a good fit for some.

What's a contractor with a bulldozer doing trolling on the arbonne section just randomly responding to posts? This is as fake as it gets.
