Here is Arbonne's return policy: "If not completely satisfied may return...to Arbonne Independent Consultant for a replacement or full refund within 45 days of the Client purchase date...Shipping fees are non-refundable".

As for the ingredients, it is a retinoid product. Retinoids such as Retin-A were originally designed as a treatment for acne, but clinical studies (NOT done by Arbonne, but within the medical/pharmaceutical realm) found that these retinoids, forms of vitamin A, also improved skin texture such as minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. It is well known that these retinoid products cause skin redness, drying, itching, scaling, and mild burning during the first few weeks of use. Retinoids also make your skin more sensitive to sun exposure. If you have allergies (which in your case you indicated that you may have an allergy to nickel) or if you have eczema, you should talk to your doctor first before you use a retinoid. Like MIMI below, "I could go on", but UNLIKE Mimi below, I actually HAVE facts to go on with! So, let's continue: When you use a retinoid, you should be using a sunscreen. Retinoids should also only be used about 2 to 3 times per week, never on consecutive days, until your skin has time to adjust, which usually is about 2-4 weeks. If you experience side effects that persist or worsen, you should see your doctor immediately.

Concerning other ingredients, all ingredients are ALWAYS listed on the boxes that the products come in. You should have received your product in its box. If you did not, that is a problem. By law, consumers must be given a full ingredient list. All Arbone products are packaged in boxes with all ingredient information, always. The Independent Consultant also has access to the full ingredient list on the consultants' website.

Finally, a word about your experience: your consultant did not represent Arbonne properly, nor did the two Arbonne consultants who commented below ("consultant" and "Mimi"). THIS is the on-going problem with the lack of proper training for Arbonne consultants. In the end, Arbonne has to take responsibility for this. This "Arbonne Sales force" contains out-of control leaders who do not properly train the consultants that they sign up. Indeed, these women dissuade new recruits from learning about ingredients in the products making statements such as "no one has one to learn all of that" so they LITERALLY discourage you from even trying if you express any interest in that! Don't deny it, because that happened to me, and I heard it from multiple levels going all the way to the highest levels, stopping short of course with the lead chemist and the CEO, who are both quality scientists and business leaders. The lead chemist explains things clearly, concisely and beautifully and has an amazingly generous and kind personality as well, and consultants have access to his "webinars" on the consultants' website.

Your consultant first, should have presented you with an order form BEFORE she placed your order!!! The form would have shown you the price of your product AND shipping and handling costs, which are NOT refundable as stated on the BACK of the order form (again, CLEARLY, the consultant should have given this to You!) The back of the order form ALSO features a "Notice of Right to Cancel" within 3 business days, again UNDERSCORING THAT IT WAS THE CONSULTANT'S OBLIGATION TO GIVE YOU THIS FORM! And so, when "Mimi" below makes the rather condescending statement that "it's your responsibility to know the price", well you would have known had you been given your order form when you placed your order!

Finally, a lack of the most basic of training is evident here inasmuch as this consultant who sold you this product did not even know the return policy. There is just no excuse for that. Did you inform her of your dissatisfaction within 45 days of your purchase date? Since you said she was your ROOMMATE it would be exceedingly difficult for her to NOT know of your dissatisfaction.

And one more "Finally": looking at the "Meet the Product Sheet", I am not of the opinion that Arbonne is providing enough training for a retinoid product such as Genius. I usually keep one box for every Arbonne product that I order, and I wanted to check my box for you to see how detailed the "use instructions" were for this product. In my case, I was apparently so dissatisfied with the product that I actually disposed of the box, having no further interest in it. My mistake. I used it slowly over time and did not return it. I saw the slight redness early on, which is normal for a product like this. It is also common to see breakouts initially as impurities are drawn to the surface as the product stimulates skin cell turnover, which in turn begins to unclog pores. Would I order it again? Can't say that I would, but I did like the way it made my skin feel. It contains as its first two ingredients dimethicone and trisiloxane which give the skin a nice slippery feel and allow the other products such as the serum to go on more smoothly and evenly thus allowing you to use less of them.

And guess what? Because I actually know the product and your comment has caused me to re-evaluate the Genius product and its benefits, who knows? Maybe I WILL reorder the product BECAUSE retinoids ARE clinically and scientifically proven to reduce the occurrence of fine lines and wrinkles. Yes, you do have to be careful with them, especially in the early stages, but they do have their benefits, and Genius does too!

I hope this helps you, I am sorry about the allergic reaction or skin irritation that you experienced, and I am especially sorry to hear that it sounds like you did not receive a receipt upon ordering your product and that you were denied your right to a full refund, assuming that your ROOMMATE knew within 45 days of your purchase order date, that you were experiencing problems with the product. I sure do wish that a more informed and better prepared Arbonne Consultant would have helped you.

I find it interesting that Arbonne is not transparent about their products. Only the consultants are privy to ingredients online?

Why? I was interested in ordering something and couldn't pull up an ingredient list.

And the fact that proprietary ingredients aren't disclosed, really.

The ingredient list is found online, and at the back of the Arbonne catalogue. So saying that only consultants can view it is not correct

You don't have access to the full list of ingredients as a preferred client or regular customer, only consultants have access. Arbonne is NOT transparent with ingredients used, nor are the products organic/nonGMO, truly. I have a "corporate" response regarding their ingredients and according to it, they are not "natural" nor are they pure, safe, and beneficial.

If you click on "meet the product" you will see all the ingredients in all products. Arbonne is very transparent. Im happy to send you ingredient list- which product ingredients are you searching?
