Recently a friend of mine started working with Arbonne. Posting facebook status's everyday, telling everyone she has the best skin care.

I had completely forgot about her and one day I posted a status saying "I am so incredibly obsessed with skin care". Its true I am. Unfortunately she posted on it and then sent me a private message telling me I should give Arbonne a try, and that the products are wonderful. I currently use Paula's Choice and some Neutrogena products and have been for the last 3-4 years.

I wasn't about to change to Arbonne all *** nilly. So I replyed saying "Thanks, I'll look into it". So I started my research and discovered this giant consumer cult of people who love Arbonne and who sell it. However, once I actually found whats important (the ingredients), everything went wrong.

All but one(a suncare product) of Arbonnes products contain fragrant plant oils, that are irritating and can be allergenic to skin. They say they don't use chemical fragrants in their products which is wonderful, all products should be fragrance free. However they decided to shove tons of plant oils and extracts into their products that are known to be problematic for skin. Their products also cosmetic waxes such as stearic acid or myristyl myristate, which cause breakouts.

If that wasn't enough to deter me, I read stories about consultants telling people that all over mascaras have bat excrement in them, and that all other lipsticks are made with road kill. Who believes this stuff? Why would they say those kinds of things. I couldn't bring myself to tell my friend that the stuff she was selling was ***, at least to me.

So I just said I was using a new skincare line that I loved and she left well enough alone.

Thanks for your review of Arbonne. If your friends asks you again, you might want to give her a link to the pinktruth.com.

This website is former consultants that have been in various MLMs, and share their experiences and most importantly dispel the myth that you can make a lot of money in an MLM.

I have severe facial problems and have stopped using anything that was not prescribed by my dermatologist. Unfortunately they are very costly and often have to go without.

A representative recently sent me the calm trial regiment. My face feels so much better and so far there have been no adverse effects on day 5 :)

As an objective consumer who is is very careful about what I use on my skin I found the Arbonne products the Best that I have ever used. As the lady who used to sell it to me has retired I am looking to purchase more products for myself and as gifts but with some discounts.

I also live in Richmond Hill as well and can look after you.

Please contact me at Lillian.tung31@***.com to discuss details. Thanks and hope to hear from you.

Little desperate for customers no? LOL

I find it hilarious that you worry about what you're putting on your skin, yet you are using a *** product such as Neutregina. You are aware that any skin care line that you can buy at the drug store is filled with chemical fillers, and actually aids your skin to age faster. I've been in aesthetics for 12 years, and I've watched skin care lines progress, and I have to say that using Arbonne would actually help your skin more than using *** like Neutregina.

Funny, because dermatologists recommend neutrogena and cetaphil over this mlm shill. Educate yourself and stop spreading lies. Direct sales companies are a load of garbage.

Wow so any company that doesn't require people to buy things through YOU are crap?! How convenient!

Saying that Arbonne products are complete trash is a little dramatic, don't you think? Have you checked the chemicals in Neutrogena & Paula's Choice?

Hate to burst your bubble, & you state you are so "obsessed with skincare", but I did do some research of my own & many of their products are in the Mid to High Level of toxicity based on online findings. Arbonne seems to have much less junk in their products then you are mentioning.

I have a hard time believing you don't have allergic reactions with Neutrogena based on the facts I just read online. If you're not happy with a product, just don't buy the product anymore rather than stating they are complete trash online...it makes you look a bit suspicious as to your motives with your post.

I have news for you people - we are all made from chemicals! Everything on this Earth and the Universe is either a chemical or a chemical compound. So to say something doesn't contain chemicals is complete and utter ***

You're right about nothing is completely chemical free in this Universe. Arbonne did not claim their products are chemical free either, Arbonne uses the pureness of botanical and the safest of science to produce their products. It is extremely important for every human to understand what they can avoid to add more harmful chemicals into their bodies and start to control what is safer and healthier.

Ya know, I don't really think anyone should take the word of some random person and their "research" into account. Take a high school chemistry course and tell me what you actually learn in regards to chemicals.**Hint:** even your precious pyramid scheme products have chemicals in them. *GASP!*

Something sounds really fishy about this "anonymous" persons review on Arbonne. Anyway, I think that this individual is trying to defame the Arbonne name.

I've been using Arbonne products for over 5 yrs & love them & wouldn't trust my skin or body to any of the other products used out there. I looked up the companies that this person is referring to & I'm sorry but there are quite a few hazardous materials in the products based on the Skin Deep Environmental Database. In fact, when you put in Paula's Choice into the website at www.ewg.org, ALL of the products that were reviewed by them for that company is in the MODERATE HAZARD LIST. Oh & guess what?!

Paula's Choice uses PARABENS in their makeup!! Now, I also put in Neutrogena products & they were off the charts! Many of products reviewed were in the HIGH HAZARD LIST. The ones that were "off the chart" bad, the company stated that the formulas were revised on some only a few years ago.

So, to "anonymous", if u have been using these products for years, that sounds a little frightening to me.

To be fair, I also checked Arbonne on this reputable website as well, they are on the LOW HAZARD LIST. Soooo....I'm just saying before you bash on something, do your research first.

I haven't tried the products yet but, I have psoriasis and just reading about the ingredients frightens me. I'm uncomfortable enough without a bigger breakout.

Thank You

Hi Debbie,

Maybe you should give it a try with the products and see if you like it. Your skin won't lie...

I am a very skeptical person, but I kept an open mind and I've tried sooo many products out there from different countries. If you are interested, I can send you samples and you can give me some feedbacks.

No cost attached. Let me know if you're interested.

Hopefully you haven't wasted your money on Arbonne. It is expensive garbage.

I had a client if mine tell me how wonderful Arbonne was...all natural, yada yada. My husband got sucked in and bought some lotion.

I laughed when I saw the paragraph of toxic ingredients. EDUCATE YOURSELF.

An Arbonne consultant claimed that McDonald's hamburgers contain human body parts (!) on this web site(!), so, she argued, if we don't mind spending a dollar for that, why wouldn't we buy Arbonne? Your comments concerning what you have heard these "experts" assert about competitors' mascaras and lipsticks along with this other consultant's bizarre claim concerning McDonald's hamburgers shows yet another shocking trend practiced by these Arbonne clones.

This is really unbelievable that Arbonne itself allows these consultants to behave the way that they behave!

I LIKE the products, and my skin truly is beautiful since I've been using their products, and I have sensitive skin, although at my age, I do not experience breakouts. But I have my teen-age daughter using Arbonne's Clear Advantage for acne prone skin, and her skin is beautiful, and I had tried for years including trips to the dermatologist, estheticians, and even having her try the very strong Retin-A treatment, Accutane. This is a highly regulated drug with serious side effects and is so strong that she had to have her blood monitored every month.

It is also very drying because it shuts down the body's oil production. Not even Accutane was giving the results that I was hoping for her. Again, Arbonne's Clear Advantage has made all the difference for my beautiful daughter's complexion, and her skin now reflects the beauty of her pre-adolescent skin. I was very impressed with Arbonne's Clear Advantage.

If you suffer from acne breakouts, it is the Arbonne Clear Advantage products that you would want to use.

Since I am older, my skin loves the Advanced RE-9 Line. It is botanically based, as you have pointed out, but I do not experience breakouts, and my skin has a beautiful glow that I did not have prior to my using the Advanced RE-9 line. In fact, even in my 20's, I had an ongoing problem with having dehydrated skin.

Since using Arbonne's Advanced RE-9 line, my skin is no longer dehydrated and has such a beautiful healthy glow that I don't need to even put on make-up and can still feel very beautiful. What a blessing! (And believe me, I was using some very expensive products previously, like the very expensive La Prarie and Orlane).

So, I do love the line; it works for mature skin like mine, but they have special product lines for acne-prone skin that I have also seen give magnificent results.

Like you, however, I find these bizarre claims by some of these Arbonne Consultants to be completely unacceptable, and it is something that their CEO, Kay Napier, who herself used to work on "McDonald's Healthy Initiative", needs to reel in these consultants who are making outrageous and completely unprofessional and inappropriate claims.

These consultants represent Arbonne, and Arbonne needs to step in and redirect and properly train their consultants.
